As the central act of the Pollença festivities, nest Monday the 2nd of August, will take place the re-enactment of the battle of the Moors and Christians, remembering the victory of the Christians over Dragut’s Moorish pirates, who in 1550 attacked the town of Pollença.
The festivities begin the night before, with a celebration in the streets and squares of the old quarter in Pollença. The 2nd of August, the action takes place along the whole day, starting at 5 am, with the central act representing the battle at 7 pm, ending at 12 pm with fire works.
